Chad Holzapfel joins PTG as Deputy Director for Business Development

Washington, June 1, 2010 Patriot Technologies Group (PTG) President and CEO Dan Caine announces the addition of Chad Holzapfel to the PTG Team.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome aboard Chad Holzapfel. Chad brings extensive experience in program and project management encompassing a broad scope of accomplishments, including integrating advanced systems and sensors into aircraft. His civilian career history coupled with his aviation experience as a Navy pilot will be a tremendous asset to our growing team,” said Caine.

Prior to joining PTG Mr. Holzapfel most recently served as a Program Manager and Company Pilot for Alliant Techsystems Inc. (ATK). There he led a team comprised of engineering, operations, finance, procurement, and quality assurance personnel in a $35 million program modifying commercial aircraft to ISR platforms.

His active duty Navy career began with Patrol Squadron 47 (VP-47) as a P-3C Instructor Pilot and Mission Commander. There he trained, standardized, and evaluated P-3C pilots ensuring deployment readiness. Next he served as a member of the P-8A Poseidon Fleet Introduction Team (FIT) with VP-30 for the Pilot Training System Front-End Analysis (FEA).

Mr. Holzapfel then transitioned to the United States Navy’s Bureau of Naval Personnel (BUPERS) Sea Duty Component as a Maintenance Special Projects Officer. At BUPERS he provided support to the Littoral Surveillance Radar System (LSRS) program office and various entities involved in the management of the $7 Billion program.

Mr. Holzapfel is a third generation graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, where he graduated with a BS in General Engineering and was a three year letterman on the Varsity Football Team.
