PTG Participates in National Institute of Justice Tactical Flight Officer Course

Washington, DC, June 17, 2010 Steven McShea, COO of Patriot Technologies Group, LLC, and Deputy Bryan Smith with the Lee County (FL) Sheriff’s Office, an Instructor and Subject Matter Expert for PTG, delivered remarks June 9 at the 2010 National Institute of Justice (NIJ), Law Enforcement Aviation Technology Program, Light Sport Aircraft Tactical Flight Officer Course.

“We applaud the National Institute of Justice and Mike O’Shea for this outstanding effort to place affordable, leading-edge technology, such as light sport aircraft, in the hands of trained law enforcement officers,” said McShea. “It was an honor to aid America’s law enforcement teams in their effort to tactically employ this new and important tool in their arsenal.”

The training session was held at the Bay Bridge Airport in Stevensville, Maryland and was conducted by the Airborne Law Enforcement Association (ALEA) in collaboration with the NIJ Aviation Technology Program.
